PRODUCTS

We produce pack sizes of our products suitable for the quality food industry in the U.K. and E.U. Most of our customers order fruit from us by the refrigerated container load for the quantities they require. We sell ex the Scottish cold store, but can arrange and quote for a delivered price to the customer on request.

We do sell quantities of less than a truckload, but buyers should be aware of the cost of transport to them from our cold store. If a customer wants less than a pallet of fruit then we ask that they collect it themselves.

All our Scottish I.Q.F. products (Individually Quick Frozen by blast freezing in trays) are packed in 10kg cartons with a plastic liner. At the customers’ request we can produce 4 x 2.5kg plastic bags in each carton. All plastic liners and bags are blue food grade plastic.

The I.Q.F. cartons are built on pallets with normally 63 or 70 cartons of 10kg per pallet. This applies to all our Scottish fruit in our Product Range. When we provide imported fruit from our selected suppliers (such as blueberries from Canada) then carton sizes can differ slightly, but we make this clear in all our quotations to customers.

Purée and Juice products are packed in food grade lined cartons, plastic pails with a lid (and liner on request) or in drums, and blast frozen. The cartons are filled with 20kg of fruit just before blast freezing, and once frozen it is simply a matter of unfolding the carton to give a single frozen block for use by the customer after delivery.

White plastic pails are filled with different quantities according to the product. Seedless fruit will normally be filled to 20 or 21kgs, sieved with seed fruit to 20, 21 or 22kgs, all as agreed with the customer if ordered in advance of the fruit harvest season. Unsieved pulp fruit is packed at 22kgs per pail. Customers can use the pails for defrosting the products in.

The steel drums are only used for sieved fruit and juice products. We normally pack 180kgs in each steel drum with plastic liner. With all our puree and juice products we expect to load the refrigerated trucks/containers with 20 – 22 tonnes of fruit products.

Our all completely Natural Fruit Flavours are packed in plastic liquid containers from 5 litres to 1,000 litres, and are produced on our state of the art flow distillation plant for the UK’s foremost flavour house.
